After Mayfield went to court over the property theft charges, his attorney’s released some documents given to him by the prosecuting attorney, one of which showed the names of the head of NASCAR’s security operations and his assistant along with a witness who is a career criminal. When an announcement was made regarding the documents, two days later there were state troopers checking the ID’s and license plates of every vehicle entering and exiting Mayfield’s property and then more charges were filed against Mayfield from yet another county known for not exactly being on the up & up. And why would more charges be filed against Mayfield? Because rumors had been circulating that the Appeals Court was going to rule in Mayfield’s favor. What better way to try to help influence the judges’ decisions than by piling on even more charges.
Let’s go back to an earlier statement made by NASCAR. They said there were no witnesses to Mayfield’s independent urinalysis tests and yet I found that yes there was at least one witness to them. Matter of fact, there was the entire documentary film crew following him around who were witnesses. Oops! Mayfield turned up 3 witnesses to the black flag incident and yet NASCAR and Kool Aid Drinkers everywhere once again deny these witnesses exist even though there are sworn affidavits to the incident.

61 charges ranging from minor traffic violations to assault & battery to felony theft to probation violation to drug possession. And after having done several searches, there doesn’t seem to be any records anywhere to indicate that John Kavann Franklin has served any time for his offenses which means 1 of 3 possibilities. One is that he’s got influence. Two is he knows somebody with influence. The third is he’s been a career Confidential Informant, ratting out his partners, friends, and/or drug suppliers to keep himself from going to jail.
The interesting thing about this arrest record is something is missing. John Kavann Franklin was arrested two weeks before Mayfield was served the search warrants for the alleged stolen property. It seems Franklin was arrested for possession of meth residue and also driving a stolen semi-truck. More interesting is he was arrested near one of the sites that Mayfield had supposedly stolen property from. To top it off, there are absolutely no mugs shots of Franklin available. And why is this? I mean they splash mugshots of Mayfield all over the place but not a single one of Franklin. Franklin does have a court appearance coming up for reckless driving to endanger, felony possession of stolen goods/property, and 2 counts of Altering/Destroying/Removing ID Marks/Personal Property. It seems that while the records are being kept from public scrutiny, the DA has cut a deal to drop the meth possession charges against Franklin in exchange for Franklin’s testimony against Mayfield.
Then there’s the matter of the handwritten document titled “NASCAR” with the names of Mike Lentz, the Director of NASCAR Security, and Forrest Frazier, the Security Manager for NASCAR along with their cell phone numbers. A third name on the list was a Melene Emory, a paralegal in Mooresville NC, who notarized a lot of the NASCAR sworn affidavits against Mayfield from the lawsuit against NASCAR.
Just why would the Catawba County DA need the phone numbers of NASCAR’s Security people and the person who notarized so many of the NASCAR documents against Mayfield? It might have something to do with the fact that Forrest Frazier was at the Mayfield residence and knew the layout of the place. It’s not very big. Just a single story house with all of the places where the alleged evidence was found within easy view for someone who‘s trained in security. And what was he doing at the Mayfield residence? Go back to the specimen collection that was done by NASCAR for Aegis Labs. Frazier was part of the group who went to Mayfield’s house to collect the specimen. And the notarized documents? Maybe some “documents” need to be added to the ones that were originally filed in the Mayfield lawsuit?
So why go through all of this against Mayfield? NASCAR and its fearless leader want Mayfield to go away despite having evidence which was never allowed to be entered into court. The longer Mayfield draws things out, the closer the sealed divorce papers come to being opened which have some invaluable information to Mayfield’s case which could overturn some previous rulings in his lawsuit against NASCAR. By constantly attacking Mayfield through various means, NASCAR and its controlled media has already played out his case in the court of public opinion despite the fact that he has yet to be proven guilty or a drug user in a court of law. They also keep Mayfield broke financially so that he can’t afford to pay his back taxes, his attorneys, or his employees.
And speaking of broke, what happened to the cash Mayfield had in his safe that never made it onto the police property logs when the initial raid was pulled off? And what about the supposed drug dog that didn’t alert on the safe where the meth residue was supposedly found but only alerted on an officer after he showed what appeared to be a baggie in his hand? And whatever happened to the meth that was found on Franklin which he has never been charged with having in his possession? Did it make it to the evidence locker or did it magically appear somewhere else?

The information released by Mayfield's laywers was sent out to some rather well known members of NASCAR's controlled media within a week of it being e-mailed to them and yet not a single article or mention of this material was made.
Jeremy Mayfield’s latest hearing was again postponed by the DA. No reason seems to have been given and no mention of it by the lamestream media but they sure were quick to jump on the fact that at the end of the month Mayfield’s property will be for sale as the results of a foreclosure.
The star witness, John Kavann Franklin, has hearings spread out over the next 3 months for reckless driving to endanger, felony possession of stolen goods/property, and 2 counts of Altering/Destroying/Removing ID Marks/Personal Property.
Thank you Mike for bringing all this to peoples attention. I've know all along Jeremy's been set up, yet people think I'm crazy for believing in him. NA$CAR has WAY too much power and corruption, and needs to be held accountable. Sadly, they've also got money, and have paid off people to get their way. Someone I know that has access to the case said he was in fear for his life, for knowing everything he knows. Yesterday, somebody on Facebook referred to Nascar as the Nascar Mafia. Well from everything I've heard and everything going on with Jeremy - I'm afraid that IS the truth. THANK YOU for having the courage to tell everyone what's really happening. I'm praying this will end soon, so Jeremy and Shana can get on with their lives.
ReplyDeleteYou're quite welcome. I agree that there are some folks who need to be held accountable for what's happened and continues to happen with Jeremy. There's an old saying, "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely" and in the case of NASCAR and the Frances this is so true.
DeleteJack Flowers wrote in his book that there was a connection between Bill France Jr, Jim France, and the Mob. That's how Bill France Jr ended up with his ankles broken.
Whomever it is that has access to the case needs to contact me so we can compare notes and he/she can fill me in on what I may have missed. If he/she has evidence that needs to be brought forward, then the sooner the better. Especially if their life is in danger.
I've been disappointed with the lamestream media in that even after being supplied with evidence of a connection between the DA and NASCAR that not a single member of the media did any investigating or wrote anything about it. That shows the fear that NASCAR instills in them. As it is, the "standing gag order" regarding any talk of support of Jeremy in the garage area still remains in effect and none of the "accreditted" members of the media will even mention it. I thought journalist were supposed to uncover things like this and expose it to the light of day.

It's a shame that people have to be afraid for their life because of something like this & over a 'sport'. I've tried to tell people there's A LOT more to this story than we're being told.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. I can't for the life of me understand why some of these high dollar, big name reporters haven't been on this. They've got a lot better connections and contacts than I do and yet they say or write nothing. Some of them have info regarding NASCAR and the Frances that they won't publish that would really show what all is really going on behind the scenes. In the case of one writer I know of, he/she has some invaluable info that would shed a lot of light on the Mayfield lawsuit but he/she lives in fear of being blackballed, not having a job, and not being able to take care of his/her family. I couldn't live like that. I'd have to find another job where I wasn't living in constant fear of losing my job because of a slip of the pen or tongue.

ReplyDeleteThe newer fans have no clue as to how underhanded NASCAR via the France family has been throughout the years. They simply have little or no interest in the real history of our sport. You and I have been around since the 60's and have seen both the glory and the pits of NASCAR and the pits haven't been fair or pretty.
These reporters and bloggers that have toed the NASCAR line in this mess with Jeremy, simply and fairly, just do not have the testicular fortitude to be anything more than bought and paid for minions of the France family. It's a damn shame that you are the lone stand up guy for the facts and truth. Their actions are no better than those of NBC doctoring the tapes in the ongoing Martin Zimmerman case.
Thanks Mr Clause. In order for some of the new fans to understand the history of NASCAR & the Frances, they'd have to develop an attention span longer than 30 seconds. And those are the folks that NASCAR loves because they can't remember anything long enough to really affect their judgment or opinions. Then you have the Kool Aid Crowd who think everything is peachy keen, above board, and anything other than the company line is heresy. We've been around long enough to know the players and how things really work.
DeleteIn legal terms, you could call these folks who are supposed to be reporting news and the facts surrounding Jeremy as either accomplices or accomplices after the fact. If I had an expense account half the size of these alledged reporters I'd be able to turn up a lot more info than I've been able to. Based on what I found and reported during the Charlotte hearing, there should've been an investigation started by the Federal Election Committee into the illegal campaign contributions made by Brian France. That hasn't happened which really shows whose palms have been greased to derail it or keep it from even happening. If the Feds ever did a thorough investigation into the France family, their legal dealings, political contributions, etc. we could see some interesting results. But as we don't have the money to "buy" the right politicians to make it happen, we can only hope that somebody outside the controlled media can cause enough of a stir to force an investigation.
Right now the Justice Dept should be all over NBC for the doctored tapes. They should also be all over the Black Panthers for the "dead or alive" bounty they placed on Zimmerman. But all you have to do is look at the heel dragging in the "Fast & Furious" case to see why nothing is happening in either the Zimmerman case or the illegal campaign contributions made by Brian France.
Dont forget a very powerful Nascar team owner, who as soon as he received a presidential pardon had a miracle and was cured.

My heart goes out to Jeremy and his wife in all of this. I can't imagine going through all of this. I just want to understand why this is happening.

And as Evernham is good buddies with BZF and Rick Hendrick, both of whom are good buddies with each other, you have to wonder if that had something to do with starting the whole mess.

DeleteThe one thing I didn't notice was the failed drug test Jeremy was supposed to have failed, the second one where Dr. David Black had said the test was positive, but outside specialists confirmed Jeremy would have to be dead to have had a test as high as what Dr. Black had reported.

I know it isn't much saying this with out actually being able to help at all, but if I could, I would. Nascar is a huge cash cow for the Frances and everyone involved in the sport, but some of the so called friends that used to call the Mayfields friends when they are up on top of the world should be ashamed of them selves for turning their backs.
I believe there is more then what has been reported to the fans and I hope Jeremy and Shana can find a way to save their home, or at least someone step in and give these two a break.
The initial NASCAR drug testing in Jan 2009 showed that Jeremy was negative. Then he suddenly comes up positive? When the NASCAR goon squad went to Jeremy's house and collected a sample, Jeremy went and had himself tested within 30 minutes of giving that sample and the independent test he did came back negative. Jeremy had hair folicle and 3 urine tests done between the initial negative NASCAR test and the goon squad sample that came back negative.
DeleteOne journalist who is supposedly a friend of the Mayfields has been ripping into Jeremy off and on during this entire mess. The standing gag order in the garage is still in effect so nobody mentions Jeremy in the garage.
There's a lot more that needs to be told. There's a lot of evidence that was never seen in court. It all needs to come out.
I wish I had won that big lottery. Jeremy & Shana wouldn't be in the bind they currently are if I had won it.

I believe the Ray Everham connection initially pissed the powers that be off, and when Claritin D got mentioned by Mayfield the axe got dropped on him by Nascar. Wasn't Claritin D one of Carl Edwards primary sponsors at the time?
